It was a blessing to see many of you at the District Minister’s Retreat.  Webster defines Retreat as:  the act of withdrawing into safety or privacy; a place of refuge and seclusion–a pretty good definition of what Pastor Rick intends for these annual events.  Even Jesus took time to seclude Himself in the presence of the Almighty Father, allowing His spirit and mind to be renewed.  When life ceases to be fun and ministry becomes a burden instead of a blessing, it’s time to retreat, withdraw into that “secret place” where you can be restored.  Never neglect the spiritual well-being of yourself and your family.  Tend to and nurture your personal relationships.  It is out of healthy relationships that genuine ministry flourishes.
